Constance Petit
A Journey in Cell Biology
After completing her PhD at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris, France), Constance spent four years each at Yale and Harvard Universities as a researcher in cell biology where she investigated the relationship between lysosomes
(in laymen’s terms the trashcans of cells) and neurodegenerative diseases such as frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
She has provided us with a glimpse of cell biology, taking us along her research journeys to develop an understanding of brain disorders and ultimately enable the development of cures.
