About the event

Join WINiT for a day-trip to Albi on Friday October 8th including a visit to the historical center of the city, lunch, and a guided tour of the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum with WINiT member and artist Una Pett. Una will have her sketchbook with her and participants are welcome to bring sketchbooks along as well, to draw in the museum and or surroundings...

An outing in great company - as with WINiT previous day trips! Don’t miss it!!

Full program of the outing here.

And to supplement the outing, Una is offering to lead a pre-trip informal conversation/slideshow revolving around Toulouse-Lautrec’s work and influences on Wednesday September 29th. Designed to give attendees some background and to enrich our experience at the museum. Stay tuned…

About Una :

Una is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah in Toulouse for the past 5 years. She earned her MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art’s Graduate School of Figurative Art. She has over 15 years’ teaching experience in higher education and art institutions in Utah, North Carolina, and New York. She earned her BA in Studio Art from Smith College.

Una wears several hats: teacher of art history to American college students; occasional assistant to aspiring artists discovering Toulouse by sketchbook; painter and drawer of portraits; blogger about creativity and life as a voluntary expat; player of Irish music; teacher of English; artist developing her own work in the studio.

Una is especially passionate about drawing from life. In her teaching, she aims to create a relaxing, nonjudgmental atmosphere where students of all levels can discover their ability to observe and analyze the visual world and create compelling compositions. She loves to make drawing accessible, and demystify the process into fundamental elements.

Find Una's work on her website : www.unapett.com — or Instagram @unapett.
