About the event
Private pilot Emmanuelle Aygat will recount her and her two co-pilots’ experiences flying a small airplane in the 2024 Rallye de Tarfaya. This legendary 9-day rally follows the route of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and other pioneering Aeropostale pilots across the Pyrenees, Spain, the Mediterranean, and Morocco, down to a remote airstrip near the Mauritanian border.
The all-women crew faced dense fog, scorching heat, primitive landing strips on sand dunes, and uncooperative civil aviation authorities. Yet, they were more than prepared for the challenge—Emmanuelle and her co-pilots, Sarah Vrancken and Sandrine Kieffer, have been flying since their teens. The latter two are professional Airbus pilots, navigating the mammoth Beluga cargo planes across Europe.
Hear their gripping story of skill, resilience, and a passion for flight. You won’t want to miss it!
