About the event

Casandra will share with us the objectives, methodology and progress of her thesis, in order to shed light on the process involved in research in the humanities and social sciences.

About Casandra : 

Casandra Herrera is currently a second year PhD student in Hispanic Studies and Art History at the University of Toulouse II Jean Jaurès. She is a visual anthropologist. She has worked as a researcher and cultural manager in the main cultural institutions of Ecuador, such as the Ministry of Culture and Heritage, the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, the National Museum, among others. The projects in which she has participated have led her to work in a wide variety of contexts with diverse social groups, which has allowed her to learn to develop work strategies adapted to each environment and human group. Her main areas of work are related to gender, interculturality, visuality and memory.
