About the event

Catarina GOULÃO is a researcher at Toulouse School of Economics (TSE-R, INRA) . She has obtained her PhD from the University of Louvain (Belgium) and has previously taught at the University of Alicante (Spain) and the University of Vienna (Austria). Her research focuses on the economics of non-communicable chronic diseases (NCDs). In particular, she is interested in the social transmission of NCDs and on the governmental interventions in view of slowing down the epidemic of NCDs. She also works on the interactions between the public sector and the private market in the provision of insurance, including health and disability insurance and pensions.
