Rachel Rose was the Poet Laureate Emerita of Vancouver from 2014 to 2017. She is the author of four poetry books, three short stories, several anthologies, as well as a memoir and an Opera. She has won poetry, fiction, and non-fiction awards, including the 1997 Bronwen Wallace Award for Fiction from The Writers’ Trust of Canada, a 2014 and 2016 Pushcart Prize, and a 2016 nomination for a Governor General’s Award. Recent work has appeared in publications such as The Globe & Mail, The American Poetry Review, Monte Cristo Magazine, The Vancouver Sun and The Press Democrat.

Rachel presented her creative process in writing and also read from one of her books.
